I have a 08 sonata limited with the v6. I will be renting a 5x8 u haul trailer to move from Nebraska to California (about 1550-1600 miles. I know weight of things inside the trailer will be limited and I have been crunching numbers. will have a 2k lb hitch, the trailer weighs about 900 lbs and I been weighing the items I am placing in it and came to around 650 lbs for the heavy magor stuff, I calculate abother 200-250 lbs in boxes. Thatr puts be below the 2k lbs (barely lol) anyhow... any suggestions as to any vehicle prep needed for such a long trip pulling that much weight? I don't want the safety chains to be dragging on the road, not do I want to damage the car. I already replaced the brake pads with ceramic pads for better heat dissipation, did an oil and trans fluid chanmge, did a coolant system flush and fill... any other things I should be concerned about?
